The first stage of the Queens Park makeover, in Toowoomba, in southern Queensland, has been completed.
A total of $400,000 has been spent, making improvements over the past two months.
The Toowoomba Regional Council said it carried out the works in the quieter tourism period, so it was ready for visitors during the Carnival of Flowers.
A further $1.3 million has been approved in the budget for the next stage of works under the Queens Park Master Plan, including new shades and toilets.
