State of Origin on Grandstand

As far as rugby league games go, State of Origin is about as exciting as it gets.

While you have a two in 16 chance of your team playing in the NRL grand final, everyone in New South Wales and Queensland has a stake in one of Australian sport’s most-loved grudge matches.

Queensland has built a successful team around consistency in their roster, and sheer skill, boasting numerous players regarded as the best in their position.

New South Wales has lost the last six series’, and this year will turn to inspirational leader Paul Gallen and reformed NRL bad boy and playmaker Todd Carney to break the Canetoads’ dominance.

This year, game one has been given to Melbourne’s Docklands stadium, game two at Sydney’s Olympic Park and game three at Brisbane’s Lang Park.
